Tom Cruise, my new single is out

On my new single, and the processing of lyrics.

I only realize my lyrics are edgy once the song is about to be released, or when I show it to my mom. But it’s fine because it always makes sense in the grand scheme of things.

Same for the music. My friends who used to know me as a boom-bap rapper say my new tracks sounds like a satire of French 80s Laurent Voulzy type synth wave. But it’s fine because I compensate for a rather unexpressive personality. I decided I would rather promote non-trendy conceptions of relationships in my songs than following the hero worshipping of various pimps and red pill gurus that is rampant in the internet culture.

My exes ask me if the lyrics are about them. I really don’t know. The subconscious often process things in a very particular way and in my case it seems like it must process the cringe/uncomfortable parts of the romance.

I can’t conceive lyrics writing any other way. But it’s fine because I also write for others and I have side projects that prevents me from acting all the time like a problematic writer according to ChatGPT criterias.

I asked ChatGPT if the lyrics of my song Woo Me (ft. Thrill AM) were problematic:

Now I asked the same for my next song Tom Cruise (out 14.02). Guess I made progress.

Au revoir,

Grimaud
